“Mark, if you help me, I promise I will do anything for you in return. Just as long as cheating is not involved.”

“You will do anything I want?” Mark probed, his eyes glittering as he focused on her. He now seemed more interested in her promise than in whatever it was she wanted from him.

“Yes, I give you my word.”

Mark stared into her eyes and seeing how desperate she was, he leaned back into his seat and tapped his fingers on the table. “Careful what you promise, Darling, I’m not a good boy.” 

“I don’t care,” Elena replied with determination in her eyes. “I’m not a good girl either.”

Elena was right on time with the sweet melons because the next moment, Sarah picked up a piece from the plate and shoved it straight into Chloe's mouth.

Elena eyes them warily before taking her seat and handing the plate of sweet melons to Chloe. "What happened while I was gone?"

Chloe really wanted to answer that question unfortunately, her mouth was full, so Sarah took advantage of her situation.

"Don't mind her. She is only four months pregnant yet has gone ahead to become the most emotional human on earth and as if she hasn't had enough, she had to top up her emotions by being so talkative. I can hardly stand her anymore." Sarah exhaled deeply.

Elena glanced between them and asked with her focus on Sarah, "What did she say?"
