I jumped out of bed and quickly put on my clothes. I could hear explosions and screams outside, and I knew we had to act fast. Mari looked at me with worry in her eyes.

"What's going on?"

"The village is under attack again, I have to go and help."

"I'm coming with you." Mari said, determination in her voice.

"No, you're not. Go hide."

As we made our way outside, we saw the chaos and destruction that awaited us. Buildings were on fire, and people were running in all directions.

I quickly turn to Mari and tell her to hide. "Stay here and don't come out until I come back," I command.

As I make my way to the door, she reminds me to take the amulet. "Don't forget the amulet," she says, handing it to me.
