The Bully

Shawn POV

"I didn't think that the 4 great academies were giving pity treatments." the same guy said.

He's about our age, 179 tall, he got pale white skin with dark brown hair and light blue eyes. He wears a regular uniform from Phoenix Academy, he doesn't look anything out of the ordinary, above average looks, but he's also in Class A, so I got the tablet out to check him out.

Oleander 'Ollie' Maddox, comes from the Maddox Family, a family that has lived on this island for quite a while, they've produced powerful sorcerers for generations and Ollie here is recorded to have an affinity with fire and water elements.

All of our affinities are now made public, which sucks, but I don't think I got time for it now as the guy is staring dagger at us.

"Why in the world would you be amongst us as equal? I feel disgusted." Ollie said while pointing at my brother.

I just stood by Perseus' side, he just gave me a short glance before narrowing his eyes on my brother further.

"Bruh, you lucky I ain't actually blind, so I'm not that offended. but since you already assumed that I'm blind, can't you at least just question it normally?" my brother replied "Discrimination is a punishable offense, ya know?"

"You might want to grovel instead of making an enemy of me." he warned "I'll forgive you if you do."

"Well, you might want to run to your mommy or daddy instead, cuz not only does it fits the stereotype for people like you, but you also ain't getting me lowering myself before you any time soon."

Yeah, his character does resemble a whole lot of those bully stereotypes, might as well have a British accent and go 'Wait till my father hears about this!'. But looking around, it seems that the others don't want any trouble on the first day, so they're staying out of it.

It doesn't look like it's going to escalate any further though as we can see the 4 principals come into the room and bring all of us to this building away from the auditorium, we are then brought into this conference room where they had us all seated.

They basically had one podium at the front with one giant slide, as for the tables, they are centered in the room with 2 columns of long tables with each table fitting around 4 people. We took a seat on the second row on the right column of tables with none of our classmates joining my table whatsoever.

After a while, a smaller group of 16 students also came in, based on the nameplate pinned on their uniform, they seem to be members of the student council. I can recognize several of them, they're pretty famous, especially the vice presidents and presidents of the student council.

They also sat down with us joining our tables, 2 joining the left side of our table next to Perseus, the girl sitting next to him, if I remember her correctly, she's the vice president of the student council of Tiger Academy, Minerva Everett. She stands out with her long silky red hair, she's a second-year about 170cm tall, and what's more her eyes are unique, her right eye is slightly purplish in color while her right is a greyish blue.

The guy sitting next to her is the president, Askren F Holler, a 3rd year about 183cm tall, from the same Tiger Academy, he has bright blond hair with crimson-colored eyes. Both these 2 are geniuses recognized as some of the next pillars among wizards and witches in the future. Can't believe that we're in the same room as them, much less sitting at the same table.

I don't know what Perseus is thinking right now, he hasn't been around a lot of people at the same time for quite a long time, so he must be uncomfortable sitting with someone as famous as Minerva.

I can see the other presidents and vice presidents as well, all famous wizards and witches, I feel out of place, I don't even know why I was chosen for this class, was it because of Dad's request for Perseus dependency and requested to be grouped in the same class as me?

They should know that it was mostly just an excuse for us to have the same dorm, and class and basically not get separated.

"Don't worry, you're pretty good." my brother reassured me in a whisper

"Bro, you can cast 6 talismans at the same time, that ain't normal for a first year."

"You can be the 3rd best then, I'll take being number 2, it isn't necessarily a bad thing."

Principal Arthur then started this lecture for our class, and as everyone suspected, they're recruiting for the student council or whatever, they're basically looking for the 2 open spots of secretary assistant.

The current 4 positions are president, vice president, secretary, and discipline officer, with 2 members retiring by next year, the secretary assistants will replace the post by occupying the 2 open positions.

Perseus didn't seem interested, and neither was I, but the principals said that those who take these posts are guaranteed to not be removed from the class as long as they pass the school year with a B. It still doesn't sound that tempting.

A lot of work for anyone's own good.

"You're not even going to try and compete?" Minerva asked while staring at both of us

"No chance, princess." My brother replied "I ain't got time to work with papers and add more to my stress."

"Dude." I chided him "She's the-"

"I know," he replied "She's fine being called princess, don't worry."

"Yep, and I call him sunshine in return." she chuckled

"Wait, you 2 know each other?"

"Did you not tell him?" she then turned to Perseus

"I did, he doesn't believe me."

"So, wait, he's the one? You weren't lying?" Askren now joined in

"Well, meet my boyfriend, Perseus Silver." she introduced before turning to me and giving me her hand to shake "Perseus told me a lot about you, Shawn, let me formally introduce myself, I'm Minerva Everett."

Huh? My brother actually has a girlfriend? A real one?

I shook her hand and sure enough, it was real, this isn't a dream.

"Close your mouth, you don't want a fly in there." Perseus grumbled "And focus on the presentation, even if we have no interest, something important may come up."
