I'm Very Humble (3)

Perseus POV

I can just shoot a spell as we're flying to kill the angels, but I kinda want some of their pieces of equipment, so I gotta rip some of em out of their hands and kill them afterward.

Minerva and Shawn then cast several shields made of wind to block the angels' path and slowed them down as I then had our land safely and slowly.

"Still can't believe that you 2 got the same wind affinity."

"Not the time, hun." Minerva replied and took out her talismans.

"I want their swords and some pieces of their armor, it can be used to give back to the faes since we're taking some of theirs."

"Smart man." Shawn replied, "Well, you'll get close, and us 2 will back you up from afar, well not that you need it."

I then cast the talismans to my shoes and I cast another one that formed a sword-shaped light construct.

Shawn POV

Perseus charged in and he got to the angels in a flash, and with one slice, he cut off one of the angel's arms and as I stood there, standing in the shades of the thick forest, I couldn't believe my eyes, it's my first time actually see him fight somewhat seriously in person.

Perseus was battling angels with a blue color blade forged from pure light. It was an awe-inspiring sight, and I couldn't help but be both amazed and terrified at the same time. But as I watched him gracefully dance through the air, effortlessly parrying each strike, a sense of pride began to swell within me.

I am proud to be related to him, both of my brothers are great wizards, and I don't care if I'm overshadowed by Perseus, he's on his way to being the greatest wizard in our family.

His movements were fluid, like a master painter wielding a brush. Every swing of his radiant blade was precise and calculated, leaving trails of shimmering light in its wake. The angels, with their majestic wings and radiant armor, seemed formidable, but Perseus made it look easy. With each encounter, he seemed to grow bolder, embracing the challenge before him with a serene confidence that was truly captivating.

Perseus leaped into the air, defying gravity as his body soared effortlessly. As an angel descended upon him, wings spread wide, he twisted his body mid-air, spinning with a grace that mesmerized. With a flick of his wrist, his blade extended into a blinding streak of light, slicing through the air and deflecting the angel's attack with pinpoint accuracy.

Without missing a beat, Perseus landed on the ground, his shoes barely making a sound. He swiftly closed the distance between himself and another angel, engaging in a breathtaking display of swordplay. Each clash of their weapons sent sparks of light scattering in all directions. The clash and ring of metal filled the air, harmonizing with the heavenly chorus of angelic battle cries.

Perseus cut and chipped their armor at every opportunity he gets, and one of the angels shot a ball of bright flames, but Perseus spun, his body a blur of motion, as he twirled his blade in a mesmerizing display.

He seemed to anticipate the angels' moves before they even made them, effortlessly parrying their strikes and countering with lightning-fast precision. The celestial beings fought valiantly, but against Perseus' mastery, they stood no chance.

They then attempted to surround Perseus from all sides. But instead of faltering, he seemed to relish the challenge. With a burst of energy, he unleashed a dazzling wave of light, sending his opponents sprawling backward. It was as if he commanded the very essence of the heavens, bending it to his will.

Perseus never lost his cool. As the fight continued, he seamlessly transitioned between offense and defense, striking with calculated elegance and swiftly evading every blow aimed his way. His movements were a deadly symphony, a dance of power and finesse.

The intensity of the battle escalated, each clash becoming more ferocious than the last. Time seemed to both stand still and rush forward as the battle reached its climax.

Perseus, bathed in a radiant aura, delivered a final flurry of strikes that left the angels in awe. With a final, devastating swing, he cleaved through their defenses, sending them staggering backward. The air crackled with energy, and a victorious smile graced Perseus' lips.

As the last of the fallen angels dissipated into a mist of light, Perseus stood tall and triumphant.

And even with the fight ending, I still couldn't help but feel an overwhelming sense of awe and admiration for my brother, witnessing firsthand the extraordinary skill and coolness with which he fought.

At that moment, I knew that Perseus was not only a brother but a legend in the making. And as I watched him, my determination burned brighter than ever before, I'm gonna support him no matter what, my hope for humanity's survival isn't dead, as long as he's with me.

"And that is why I have a crush on that guy." Minerva exclaimed.

"Aren't you already dating him?"

"I know, right?" she replied.

The reply didn't make sense, but I wouldn't say I'm an expert in women, so I'll just accept it for now.

Perseus POV

Once we make it back, I asked for some time alone and got back into the forest, and once I'm sure that I'm not followed, I took off my blindfold and bring Ezra up to date on what's been happening.

"So, why'd you bring me out?" he asked, "It doesn't look like you need me."

"I'll wear sunglasses for now, I want you to go check out the port and help find us the best paths, we got a good several hours for you to be done, you're the only one I can rely on to map to explore the place with the highest accuracy, I'd rather not see anyone cry when we get back."

"You're a pretty sweet guy after all."

"Just...shut up, I miss unhealthy food and I miss conveniences, plus, I want Minerva to be happy, so just do it, it'll be hard to hide my eyes with sunglasses."
