Lawsuit (2)

Perseus POV

Calliope Frida, the leader of the Noble Canvas, based on her official verified information, she's a 31-year-old witch about 180cm tall with blue-colored eyes and ginger hair. She's so strong that she can take on several angel generals at once and can cast magic spells without the need for a talisman.

She's described to be a very...let's say vibrant character, to say the least as she's usually seen dressed in flowing, elegant robes adorned with intricate patterns and vibrant colors that reflect her artistic nature.

Her magic is deeply intertwined with the world of art, allowing her to bring paintings to life, sculpt with a flick of her fingers, and imbue emotions into her creations. Whether she is enchanting a canvas with vibrant landscapes or breathing life into sculptures, her spells are a vivid reflection of her artistic expression.

She's a graduate of Tortoise Academy who started off with a water and earth affinity and has grown to become a strong witch that can use all the elements to express her creative magic talents.

She leads a guild of like-minded individuals, and a diverse community of wizards and witches who are artists, painters, and sculptors in their free time.

The guild acts as a haven for those seeking to explore the interplay between art and magic, providing a supportive and collaborative environment for members to learn, grow, and share their talents.

This is why I'm super hesitant, I know nothing about art, and I imagine the guild leader fighting using her painting skills and killing the angels off elegantly while I'm messed up with blood and dirt all over my face.

Heck, I heard that most of their members always got fancy art-related backgrounds, poetry, music...I got none of that, if anything I am terrible at it, so why do they want to recruit me?

Maybe if I got an extra wind affinity and got a singing background, but I don't? So what do they see in me?

Even if I join them, I'll be in like their B team at best, and that's being optimistic. After that meeting, I was expecting them to pull back their recruitment letter, but I got a reply within a day saying that a representative will come tomorrow.

"Dude, just accept it, it's great, no, great doesn't even begin to describe the opportunity that was given to you," Shawn said during dinner, "We can both still do things we want at school, and you get to be in one of the greatest guilds in the world. You'll be named as a bigger prospect than even your own girlfriend, and we know how big she is in our world."

"Yes, not even your older brother got such an opportunity, and he's the greatest wizard we know." Dad added, "Really consider this, throw away your artistic concerns for now, we all know how sorry it is."

"Woah there, you're supposed to comfort me. I know I got no artistic talent, but calling it sorry just hurts..."

"No, my job is to help you see reality." Dad countered, "And if you reject this, I will support you, but you're also an idiot. We'll be there with you tomorrow to help you smooth things out, I'm going to go to my room for now, but Shawn, stay here and help him think about it, maybe a kid around his age would be more convincing."

Dad left and Shawn spent a good 10 minutes giving me his opinion.

"Look, if you're scared that we can't be together in the future because they won't pick me up, don't worry," Shawn said, "This contract last till a year after graduation, we can still team up then if I just sign a one year contract somewhere else."

"Look, that's not my main concern right now."

"So it is one of your concerns? What the fuck?!"

"What?"

"Bro, I may not be as great as you are, but I am certain in my ability to join you by then, their leader is no longer gonna be in her prime by then and her guild will fall in status and if I can retain my status as an A-class student by then, I'll have a good chance."

"You're talking about her physical prime, not her magical one, and she's just at her start."

"Yeah, with luck and plot armor, I'll be with you in no time, we're like an inseparable duo, like peanut butter and marshmallow fluff."

"I thought that it was PB and J."

"None of us fit that description."

"What?"

"Look, accept it." he said, "My school years are gonna be connected to you no matter what, we'll join the same clubs, we'll live in the same house, we'll have lunch together and dinner, we'll do everything together, and we promise to have our professional careers be tied together too.

"The world hasn't been kind to us ever since we were young, you were given away because your birth parents were murdered and their relatives can't afford you, and I thought that I was just an abandoned child left at a church's doorstep until the fairy revelation.

"I don't care or want to know what your main concern is, but this is the second best thing that has ever happened in our lives, you are given an opportunity to be great, just accept it, Ezra talked about this kind of opportunity, and we all always dreamt of it, we all share the same dream, and it doesn't hurt to be the first one to start living our dream."

Joining this prestigious guild meant stepping into the spotlight, and showcasing my abilities to the world.

But what about him? Would he feel left behind, overshadowed by my accomplishments? Would he be lonely without me? It hurts just thinking of it.

We had always been a team, supporting each other's dreams, if one of us falls behind, the other would slow down and come pick the other up till they catch up...but he's right, this is the second best thing that has happened in my life, the first was being brought into this family.
