Chapter 3: Cold Trail

The Blackout was determined to find the kidnapped employer and bring him back to safety. He scoured the city day and night, following up on any leads and gathering information from his contacts. But he had to be careful, as the police were also searching for the missing man, and he couldn't risk being caught or recognized.

Despite his best efforts, the Blackout was coming up with nothing. It was as if the kidnapper had vanished into thin air with his victim. The police were equally stumped, and the case was quickly growing cold.

Frustrated, the Blackout decided to take a different approach. He began to investigate the victim's personal life, talking to his friends and family and trying to uncover any possible motives for the kidnapping. But even that proved fruitless, and the Blackout found himself at a dead end.

Konya returned to his mansion in Southside Trick City, exhausted and frustrated. He had searched the entire city for any signs of the missing employer, but there was no trace of him anywhere. As he entered his home, he saw the television was on and the news anchor, Pamela Oliver, was reporting on the kidnapping.

"The police are still searching for the missing employer, and sources close to the investigation suggest that the notorious vigilante, the Blackout, may be involved," Pamela reported. "The Blackout has been known to take justice into his own hands, and it's possible that he may have kidnapped the employer as part of his crusade against crime."

Konya gritted his teeth in anger as he listened to the accusations. He knew he had nothing to do with the kidnapping, but he also knew that the public wouldn't believe him. The Blackout was a symbol of fear for criminals and hope for the people, but for the police and the media, he was a vigilante who operated outside the law.

As Konya watched the news report, he felt his anger rising. "This is ridiculous," he muttered to himself. "I had nothing to do with this kidnapping."

His butler, William, entered the room and noticed his anger. "What's wrong, Master Konya?" he asked.

"Did you see the news?" Konya snapped. "They're trying to say that I kidnapped Peter Caymen. Can you believe that?"

William looked at him sympathetically. "That's terrible," he said. "But you know that you didn't do it. You just need to focus on finding him and proving your innocence."

Konya sighed. "I know you're right, but it's frustrating. I've been out all day looking for clues, and I haven't found anything. And now the media is making me out to be some kind of criminal mastermind."

William put his hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry, Sir. We'll find a way to clear your name and bring Peter back home."

As the days passed, Peter Caymen began to lose all sense of time and reality. The constant deprivation, physical and psychological torture, and complete isolation were slowly driving him insane. He had no idea why he was being held captive or who was behind it, but he knew that he would do anything to escape.

One day, the nameless employee entered the dark room and began to speak to Peter in a soft, calming voice. "Peter, I know this is difficult for you," he said. "But I want to help you. I want you to understand why you're here, and why you're suffering. Do you want to know?"

Peter, desperate for any information, nodded his head eagerly.

"You're here because of your arrogance," the employee continued. "You thought that you could control everything, including me. But now, I'm in control. And I'm going to show you what it's like to lose everything."

With those words, the employee began to play mind games with Peter. He would sometimes promise to release him, only to break that promise. Other times, he would tell Peter that he had found a clue to his release, only to tell him later that it was a false lead. The constant uncertainty and manipulation were taking their toll on Peter's sanity.

One day, Peter began to scream and yell, begging to be released. The employee watched him calmly, enjoying the power he had over his captive. "You're going insane, Peter," he said. "And it's all because of me. You'll never be the same again."

Peter's screams turned to sobs as he realized the truth of the employee's words. He was trapped, alone, and completely at the mercy of a psychopath.
