The sun was setting and Minos was finally done with his work for the day. Dragging his exhausted body back to his broken hut he called home, he collapsed on his bed.
The hard wooden bed did little to relieve the aches of his body, but it was far better than standing.
After about half an hour, Minos flung his slightly recovered body back up. As much as he wanted to go to sleep and call it a day, these few hours were the only time he could completely dedicate to his cultivation.
The sun had already set at this point, hence Minos found himself outside in the dark, with only the sparse light of the moon to keep him company.
The handyman disciple area was quite large, and was mostly forested. The sect cared little about this place, hence it was somewhat of a lawless zone. When Minos first joined he didn't even have a place to sleep, and had to spend a week building the dingy hut he currently lives in.
Of course there were benefits to this, mainly being that it was easy to find a place far away from everyone else to train in private, which Minos preferred.
The initial realm of cultivation was called the Nine Life Lock Realm, or the Life Lock Realm for short. One had to shatter the Nine Life Locks that confine all mortal life, and in doing so, comprehensively enhance their physique.
Despite being in the Green Barrel Sect for two years, Minos had only broken through the first Life Lock, meaning his talent was very poor. Yet he spent the few hours of spare time he had every day training without missing a step.
Since he was ordinary, then he had to have extraordinary perseverance. Since he had little time, then he had to use every second he could afford. Since he was weak, he had to lay low, taking the abuse of those stronger without a whimper
Minos repeatedly used the Green Bull Tendon Fists to temper his body, going through the five stances. Green Bull Through Dirt, Green Bull Through Rock, Green Bull Through Tree, Green Bull Through River, and Green Bull Through Mountain.
The five stances traveled through Minos's hands with incredible fluidity, as if he himself had been the one to create this technique.
Of course that wasn't the case, Minos was just born very smart, capable of easily mastering things. In fact he had perfected this technique the first day he had acquired it, unfortunately, his physical talent was the exact opposite.
Even with this technique perfected, Minos found it incredibly hard to shake and break the Life Locks within him, further testament to his poor talent.
The four levels of technique mastery are split into Initiation, Small Mastery, Great Mastery, and Perfection.
Most handyman disciples struggle to reach initiation with this technique, and usually only veterans can reach small success. Minos himself had reached perfection a long time ago, and each day he improved this technique little by little.
Minos's fists kept flowing as the night got deeper and deeper. The sweat gathered on his body formed a thin steam that drifted off of him.
"Green Bull Through Mountain" Minos lightly shouted, before punching the man sized stone in front of him. A fist sized crater exploded in the stone, sending pieces of debris flying everywhere.
This punch increased Minos strength by a whopping 50%, letting him explode with a force of 375 pounds, however this wasn't his best.
Minos gathered himself once more, inhaling deeply. He took one step back and gathered his fist as if he was compressing a spring. His entire body seemed to turn red for a moment, and the steam coming off him became increasingly thick.
"Green Bull Through Planet" Minos shouted, before propelling his fist forward with incredible force. A small sonic boom went off as Minos's punch landed squarely on the large stone, causing the entire thing to explode.
This punch was the result of Minos's last two years of exploration. Constantly improving the Green Bull Tendon Fist and finally achieving a new move that could explode with 100% extra strength, giving Minos 500 pounds of force.
Minos did this with no other techniques to reference, instead just using his own talent and constant hard work, of course this wasn't the only thing he had spent two years on. Tomorrow is the day when everything will finally pay off.
