Chapter 5 Chapter five

　　After swimming for a little bit, we just relax in shallow water. We sit and let the clear water run over our bodies, the water reaching up to our chest.

　　Relaxing like this with you mate is the best thing that you could do. Just enjoying each other's company without having to have a conversation. You don't need to talk a lot to have a good relationship, you just need to hang out together.

　　"I love this," I say with a sigh, my voice still slightly croaky from not talking .

　　"I love you... I know this is too early to say it and I know I just met you, but you are my life now and I wouldn't want it any other way" Asa says with love clear in his voice.

　　Seeing my hesitance, he says, "You don't have to say it back, I just wanted you to know."

　　I nod and rest my head on his shoulder, watching the slight rippling of the water.

　　Soon the sun is setting, and we just sit there and admire it. This reminds me of the first time I came to the clearing and the sun was setting, the beautiful colors creating an ombré effect.

　　It's so similar, yet so different. This time, I'm safe. I'm with someone who loves me and will protect me, someone who cares so much about me.

　　I've never had all this before and in just a few days, my life has changed. I have Asa to thank for it all.

　　Once the sun has set, Asa and I got out of the water and I put back on my sweatpants. My other clothes are wet, which makes the walk back to the pack house slightly uncomfortable.

　　Holding Asa's hand, we hurry back to get out of the cold night air, which feels colder with ouur wet clothes.

　　Once we're back, Asa informs me, "I have to go see my father in his office, I'l be right back in the room soon."

　　I nod my head, leaning up to give him a quick kiss on the cheek. I pull back, blushing profusely, and walk off to the bedroom.

　　I decide to take a nice warm shower, so I grab a new set of clothes and start the shower up.

　　I wash my hair, using Asa's manly scented shampoo. I use the same scented body wash, and hop out of the shower. Getting dressed, I go back into the room. Asa's not back yet.

　　I wonder what Asa's dad wanted to talk to him about?

　　Asa's POV

　　"Hi, Dad," I say with a serious tone, knowing that what he has to say is important if he mindlinked me while I was on a date.

　　"Please sit down, Asa. We have something important to talk about," my mom says, also with a serious voice. She's in Alpha mode.

　　Dad starts off, "We contacted the Red Claw Pack, and they confirmed the story. We informed them that the responsible parties must be punished and they decided to rebel."

　　"What does that mean? What's going to happen?" I ask, confused.

　　Why are they rebelling when the way we rule is fair?

　　This means that they are starting a war."

　　Lucy's POV

　　Luna Ella, Asa's mom, insisted that we go shopping today. Asa agreed, saying that I can't keep wearing his clothes because they don't fit.

　　We are driving to the mall with packed car. I tried to remember everyone's name, but it's hard with four girls.

　　I think the people accompanying us are Cara, Lana, Esme, and Vanessa. Esme and Vanessa are mates, Esme is Asa's cousin sister, Cara is mated to the beta and Lana is mated to the gamma.

　　It's very confusing.

　　Asa and I are sitting squished in the backseat of Ella's van. Supposedly, she insisted on getting one because of her family, even though she can't drive. Cara is driving while singing loudly to the music playing on the radio.

　　Ella is sitting beside Asa in the backseat, me being by the window. I stare out the glass window, watching the trees fly by.

　　Soon we are arriving to town, and we reach the mall.

　　The first store we go to, much to my embarrassment, is a Victoria secret store. Vanessa insisted on getting me some nice lady underwear to show off to Asa.

　　I pick some out, the girls all shopping for themselves.

　　We leave and I now own plenty of pairs of underwear. It's been awful wearing Asa's, they are too big and it's embarrassing to admit that.

　　We then go to Hollister to buy my clothes. Every girl gets to pick out five outfits, making me have twenty five in total. Asa finds three outfits he wants to purchase for me, although he won't shows it to me because he says it's a surprise.

　　Asa and I are walking out of Hollister, hand in hand, when he whispers in my ear,

　　"You are going to look so sexy in the clothes I bought you."

　　I blush deeply, so embarrassed that he said that in public. With their werewolf hearing, all the girls heard and are eyeing each other with smirks. I can't believe this!

　　Ella scolds Asa while smiling,

　　"Don't tease her, Asa. I thought I taught you better."

　　Asa lets out a booming laugh, gaining attention from others surrounding us. "You did, I just didn't listen to you," he says with a sly grin, arrogant as always.

　　Ella just pouts and rolls her eyes, looking like a child.

　　After that embarrassing conversation, we make it to the food court. We all decide to eat Italian, and I get spaghetti with meatballs. The meatballs look so

　　appetizing, so scrumptious. I'm a fan of meatballs.

　　We are peacefully eating when all of a sudden I feel cold substance running down on my head and down my shirt. I gasp at the cold feeling, shivering.

　　I turn back to see who's behind me. It is my two main bullies, Maya and Mark.
