I wiped the sweat lingering on my forehead as I was giving fertilizer to the plants here in the garden after I watered them. I turned my head to the gate as I spotted a messenger running on his four paws.


I left the garden and approached Ingram, one of the letter couriers all over the kingdom.


He transformed to his human form and once he saw me, he bowed before me. "Lady Anais, greetings!"


"Greetings, Ingram! Letter for the House of Thompson?"


Ingram nodded and bestowed me a letter. I scrutinized the writing style and saw the symbol of the House of Fondre. It was from the head of the family house, Earl Uram Fondre. I could surmise that this was an invitation to a party. Or perhaps confidential content.


I gaped at him and thanked him. "I will deliver this to Grant. Thank you."


Ingram bowed again to me before he decided to leave by transforming himself into a wolf form. I spotted Lycan and called him.
