Chapter 31 Disagreement

Chapter 30: Disagreement

"Why not?" Sylvester asked with a mischievous smile. "I cannot fathom the idea that 'Marchioness' Anais is attending alone," he said and laced his tone with dramatic wavelength. "It is such a shame that she doesn't know every noble person there. And I am willing to tour her around." He looked at me, smiling. "My idea isn't that bad, right, Marchioness Anais?"

"Um..." I was rendered speechless.

"No! I said no!" I flinched when he slammed the table again. "I will be her escort, not you!" he said angrily.

"How about Lady Claire?" He showed a concerned expression. What he was showing right now spoke pretentiously. "Wouldn't you feel bad if she was alone there? Feeling cold? Poor, Lady Claire!"

"Shut up!" Grant said, panting angrily at Sylvester.

Sylvester was about to speak when I interrupted him. "Duke Sylvester, please." I didn't want them to brawl right in front of me. It was hard to control two Alphas that came from different packs.
