Chapter 38 The Last Test

"You have called me, Luna Anais?" Lycan asked as soon as he arrived at my quarters.

I pursed a smile and nodded. "Yes. There is something I need you to do actually," I said and sighed dejectedly.

His stony-faced behavior changed to a curious one. "Yes, Luna. Anything." Lycan nodded like he would be willing to do anything I ordered.

"Very well." I bestowed him a new letter. "Please deliver this to Milla. Let her read this alone and I am hoping no one must see it. Can I trust you with this?"

Lycan blinked, nodding his head. "Yes, of course, Luna. You can trust me." He bowed his head and reached for the envelope from me.

"Thank you." I looked at the wall clock. "I must go now. I have to tend the garden before the morning meal later," I bid at him.

"I must leave as well, Luna."

"I'll escort you outside." After I saw him off, I called Fuller to order him to fetch me some water for my watering can. "Please hurry up," I added.

Fuller bowed his head. "As you command, Luna."
