"You seemed quiet today, Anais. Is there something wrong?"
I snapped my head, blinking. "W-What? You were saying?" I asked, a little distorted. "I-I'm fine." I forced a smile at Sylvester.
Sylvester nodded. "You seemed a little off after Her Majesty and His Royal Highness left." He bestowed some meat on my plate.
"Ah..." I laughed nervously. "I'm just a little exhausted from today's happenings," I lied.
"Very well." He put some cheese on my plate. "Eat more than you can take a rest. I'll take care Criselda until dawn so gets some plenty of rest."
"Yes, I will."
Exchanging responsibility was what Sylvester and I had talked about before. I would be the one who would take care of Criselda from morning to sunset while Sylvester would handle my daughter from evening to sunrise.
This was Sylvester's idea after all which I agreed with because I was already exhausted by the morning because I had sleep deprivation, waking up from time to time to feed Criselda.
