Chapter 73 CH 73: Get Her Back

With trembling fingers, Anne typed a response to Lucas' message.

Anne: I can't.

Lucas: Please. Just one call. He got drunk last night and took some pills. A Doctor is treating him now.

Anne gasped and dropped her handphone on the ground.

"Are you alright, Anne?" Her mother asked looking concern with her daughter's behaviour. Anne nodded and bent down to pick up her handphone.

"I'm just tired. Long flight. Can I please be excused now? I want to rest" Anne was indeed looking tired. She has not slept since they depart from Dracor to Averna. Her mind was on Ashton all along.

"Go and have some rest. Helen prepared your room. She is excited to see you back home" Anastasia smiled lovingly at her daughter.

Helen is Anne's assistant in the Palace. She tends to all of Anne's needs. A loyal woman who took care of Anne since she was just a baby.
