Chapter 7 First day

Lilliana's pov.

I turned back to the first page of the Riverdon newsletter I had printed before writing my proposal and looked at the photograph of Edward Carrington. In the photograph, he was standing on a pavement. His brown hair was split on the side and combed backwards. He wore a black suit with a white dress shirt. A light stubble framed his chiseled jaw. Honestly, he was more attractive in person but just looking at him made me angry.

Furious, I started tearing the whole newsletter into pieces. I tore the page with his photo into even tinier pieces so I could not see his face anymore. By the time I finished, I was feeling better but was annoyed at the mess I had created on my bed. It was his fault and that annoyed me the more. I leapt out of bed and collected all the pieces together. Tearing a page out of one of my counter books, I shoved all the small pieces unto it. When I was done, I got everything and dumped them in the trash can near the corner.
