I could barely sleep as I wondered what surprise awaited me at Riverdon pharmaceuticals. By six, I was awake but lay on bed waiting for time to move fast. I knew it was impossible for me to get back to sleep. The anticipation was killing me. Edward had not seemed to be filled with negative emotion so I tried not to let the part of my brain responsible for worries control me.


I was up early but unfortunately, Maria got into the shower before me. Knowing she could take a lifetime, I begged her to hand me my toothbrush and paste so that I could brush while waiting. In a short time, my mouth was full of paste so I closed it as I waited for her to finish showering which she had said would only take five seconds. To Maria, five seconds were ten minutes apparently. I was yet to understand what she spent so much time doing in the bathroom.
