Chapter 64 Gone with the wind

By the time I got outside, the woman had vanished. How on earth did she disappear so fast? It was like she was there and then she wasn’t. I went to the parking lot and looked everywhere but there was no sign of that woman. If I didn’t know any better, I would have thought she was a ghost. It was like she vanished right in front of my eyes. I had followed her right after she got out but there was no trace of her. Not even a car leaving to indicate that she had swiftly entered into one. Dumbfounded, I went back to the reception.

“What are you up to?” Kate asked me. “Your shift is over and you’ve been acting very weird this evening. Are you spying on Ronnie Trump?”

I went closer to the reception counter and leaned on it. “Do you know anything about the woman who just left? It seemed she was wearing a face mask.”
