The Alpha's Elusive Secretary

“Your omega is much closer to you than you think,” Jeane maniacally laughed again as she collapsed.


I check her pulse and it was already gone at that point, her body was so cold it’s unbelievable she was previously even alive.


I look up to the alpha for his reaction, he was shocked to the point of being stunned.


“Alpha,” I ordered another pack member to take Jeane away. I chose to stay behind, knowing the alpha will go berserk.


“Alpha,” I called out to him again as he finally snapped out of it.


He sighed and his broad shoulders seem to have tensed a little bit.


“Honestly, I don’t know what to do anymore,” he buried his head on his palms, revealing a side of vulnerability I’ve never encountered before.


I get conflicted on what to do, should I just stand here? Should I walk away?


At a moment’s adrenaline, I hug the alpha and he flinches a little bit before burrowing his head deep onto my shoulders.
