Chapter 48

I rush towards the training grounds, where Troythe told me he would be.

“Straighten your back!” I heard shouts from inside, and as soon as I opened the door – I saw the terrible training they had.

“Stop!” I scream as I prevented the lady from harming Atlas.

“What do you think you’re doing?” I ask her, seriously infuriated with what I just saw.

“I’m training the son you couldn’t teach properly,” she said, bumping heads with me.

“I’ll take him,” I said as I carried Atlas away.

“Just know, he was the one to ask me to do this,” she said as I was about to leave. I frowned at her statement.

“Who are you?” I ask her, she seems to have too much confidence for being just a trainer.

“Lauree, remember my name,” she said. I slam the door shut, still infuriated with her.

“Mommy,” I hear Atlas mumble as he laid his head on my shoulder.

“Are you okay baby?” I ask him as I comfort him and wipe the blood away from his face.
