The Alpha's Elusive Secretary

“Ack!” I woke up to cold water hitting my skin. “What the-?” I was puzzled – I was sure I would’ve died.


“-Can’t wait!” I heard a voice all too familiar. I look up to see who it was.


“Brother!” It was my younger brother, he’s the Alpha of the Yumir kingdom – although they call Alphas here as kings.


He ran towards me and immediately crushed me down in a hug, “Brother Ineptus! It is you!”


He’d become so much bigger than the last time I saw him, he was probably half my height when I left. I am not eligible to be the Alpha – I was born as a Beta.


“Are you going to stay here for good?” He asks me as he looks at me with sparkling eyes. His frame didn’t match this character – however, I do understand since he was initially the one to strongly be against me going to a faraway land.


I fight the urge to give up on him as I look away, “Ugh, I can’t. Father will surely be angry.” I see him pout, “Father’s dead, you have nothing to worry about now! I’ll provide for you brother!”
