She looks at me, her eyes pleading. "Promise me, Florence. Promise me that you will never give him up."
I smiled at Athena. I held her hands as well. "You don't need to beg me, Athena. I will never give up your brother. Zyair pulled me out of my dark past. He showed me that I'm not a hopeless case, that I still have a chance despite the sufferings that I experienced."
I breathed deeply. "You have my words. I will hold his hands midst the most turbulent storm," I promised her.
She smiled at me, a hopeful one. "Thank you, Florence. Thank you for coming on my brother's life." She sighed heavily. "Now I'm not worried what will happen to him. Don't you know that I was worried for him before because I thought he would grow up alone? He used to despise the term love and did not believe on it."
I nod my head. "Yeah. He also told me that."
"I was really fed up of his bitterness, that's why I'm glad that he finally found his salvation."
