Chapter 2 Laughing Object

After that night, I was nothing but a laughing object. The haters and bitches that waited for the moment that I will fail one of my mission didn’t let this opportunity to pass.

“ So guess who didn’t win against her plan to ruin the Lennox family? Oh! Sorry my bad, Luna Beatrix.” Estella, one of my cousins and someone who’s so against me said while she’s passing down our living room, holding her caffeine. My blood boils because of her words and I am ready to attack her when we both stop when our grandfather enters the place along with our family members.

He’s old but not old enough to spare us the scolding that we deserve about our mission.

“ Stupido! Baka! How can you fail your mission?! I trusted you, Luna Beatrix along with you Alpha Silas, to finish that family!” He shouted which makes some of us stilled in our place but not some of our relatives. They hated us because grandpa favors us more than them and their child.

Silas hold grandpa’s hand. “We’ve got another plan grandpa. This time, I will bring them down,” he said which only makes the old man hissed at him. He slaps his hands aways before his sharp eyes landed on me. I am busy checking my nails but when I noticed his angry eyes, I pretended to be innocent.

“ What, pup?” I said before glaring at my brother. Gladly, only him and two of our other cousin saw what happened and I am thankful enough that they didn’t open their mouths to report about the kiss.

He sighs before he walks in my direction. “ It’s now your mission, iha.”

“ Grandpa!”

“ Dad!”

“ Grandfather!”

All of that was their unison reaction after hearing what the old man said. I rolled my eyes because of their disagreement. “ They didn’t seem to like the idea, pup.” Still checking my nails, I can feel the sharpness of their stare but that only motivate me to push their limitations. I want them to know who’s the favorite grandchild here and the strongest Luna.

“ That’s my final decision,” he said before he got up and walked outside. I mockingly laughed at them because of how stupid their reaction was.

“ But grandpa, the Alpha and her—”

“ What about the Alpha and me, Tyron?” I quietly asked her before I slowly walk towards her direction. He seems scared not because of what I just told him but because he knows what will happen to him when he will say those words.

“ Stop it, Beatrix.” Alpha Silas said before he talked to our cousin and the relatives. They all quietly leaves obeying their Alpha, leaving me seating on the couch and enjoying looking at my crimson painted nails.

Alpha Silas assumed the seat in front of me before he pours a whisky in the glass. “ Cheers!” He laugh before he gave me my shot. With one gulp, we let our throats get drown in the bitterness of the alcohol.

He held my hand and looked at my nails before he shook his head. “ What’s your plan, darling?” he mocked and before I can hit him with the pillow that I snatch, he quickly hold my hand to stop my attacks.

“ Silas! Don’t start with that talk!” I shouted before I struggle at his touch but since he’s the alpha, he’s much stronger than I am in this situation. He didn’t let go of my hand before he pours himself a glass of whisky and drink it.

He thinks for a moment before he looked at me, seriously. “ It’s not going to work, you know. He’s the Alpha of the rival family that we loathed for how many years…. he might be—” he didn’t finished his words and close his eyes, hurting.

“ I know,” I said before looking outside. The pain and rage that I buried deep inside my heart is slowly resurfacing again….this is the reason why we trained so hard, why we needed to be strong enough to conquer the Lennox family.

Silas patted my back. “ We will make them pay and bring the justice that they deserve,” he said in a pained voice. Driven with rage, this is how he lives and copes. I nodded and touch his face, remembering someone.

His breathing hitched. That’s when we noticed the curious eyes of one of our cousin and the loyal member of our family.

“ Am I interrupting something?” he grins sheepishly before walking towards us. He didn’t even bother to say something, but he pours his own glass of alcohol.

“ Leon, what is it?” I asked, switching to the Luna mode. “ Why did you come here to talk?” Leon is a cousin which is residing to another country. He’s managing some of the family business because he’s too inlove with traveling.

He grins to me and to Silas before his eyes landed on our arms. I didn’t notice that Silas is still holding it. “ Hmm..” he commented.

“ Anyway, a friend said that he met the famous Luna of the Creed family. He’s curious but I am more curious about the news that I just heard on the plane,” he sips his whisky one more time as if he’s watching our reaction.

Silas didn’t wait any longer. “ News of what?”

Leon only laughed and patted his back before his eyes glances on my direction. “ About the kiss at the middle of the war,” he sounded thrilled but I am more than that. The mention of the event turned my heart into a horce racing momentum. Images of that night flashes in my eyes.

“ Risky but thrilling. Update me more, you know how much I love adventure.”

The sound of glass fills the place when he put it down the table. He looked at my brother grinning before he fixed his clothes and got up.

“ Just so you know, he’s my bestfriend and the feud of this family is too stupid to begin with,” he commented and before he can utter any words, Silas quickly got up and punched his face. Blood runs down his lips but Leon only chuckles about the situation.

“ You can’t say that! You know who we lost because of that pack! That family!” I cannot help it, the rage that I am hiding is still there. The pain is still tearing me into pieces.

“ The investigation said that it was an accident!” He pointed out but I cannot accept it. My hand landed on his cheeks but his quick to stop it.

He wipe my tears. “ Let go and move on, Beatrix. They are gone and you needed to be happy.”

“ You both needed to move on and be happy,” he said before he let go of my hand and walk away. Silas and I stayed in that position for some time, wondering and pondering things. The wounds doesn’t heal and it feels like it was just yesterday’s events.

He sighs and hug me. “ It’s okay, we’ll get our revenger,” he assures before he walked away too, waving his hands and not looking at me even once.

“ Fucking Lennox family! I will fucking tear your family apart!” I shouted before I throw the glasses at the wall as the anger in my heart awakens once again. My mind went to the image of the man who stole a kiss and suddenly, a plan was made in my mind.
