Chapter 14 The party part- 1

The car pulled up in front of a fancy club. Olivia could have opened the door herself and walked out, but she didn't. She remained seated, raising her chin with arrogance.

Vincent took a quick look at her and figured out her intention. A little while ago, she said she wanted to be friends with him. And then she demonstrated her attitude and treated him as her chauffeur.

He shrugged and got out. He marched around the car and opened the door for her.

Olivia fixed her gaze on him, her face solemn. She walked out of the car after unbuckling the seatbelt. Before entering the club, she took off her overcoat and stuffed it into his hands.

A deep frown crawled onto his face as he looked at the overcoat. This woman was deliberately messing with him.

If Vincent hadn't been working for Oscar, he could have taught her a lesson. He shoved the coat ruthlessly into the car and slammed the door before following her.

Olivia entered the club elegantly. Her dress accentuated her curves well. As it was a one-shoulder gown, her other sleek shoulder was on display. The hem of the dress ended just above her knees, exposing her smooth, long legs with stilettos.

There were a lot of people in the club. She didn't recognize the majority of them. However, she didn’t fail to notice the girls' jealous glances and the guys' gaps. Everyone around her took a second look at her.

Olivia was well aware that her voluptuous body and pretty face could draw anyone's attention. Unfortunately, the guy she was attempting to woo was not taking an interest in her.

As she progressed, she noticed her friends sitting on a sofa on the other side of the room, laughing and chatting. Willa waved at her, grinning from ear to ear. She looked gorgeous in her satin beaded navy-blue knee-length halter dress.

Olivia approached her, smiling sweetly. She hugged her, “Happy birthday, dear bestie.”

“Thank you…” Willa giggled.

"This is for you," Olivia said as she took a little box wrapped in golden foil from her purse and handed it to her.

Willa couldn’t wait to check. She quickly unpacked the box and opened it. Her eyes sparkled as she found a gold chain with a small star-shaped pendant.

“Oh, my…” Her hand flew to her mouth involuntarily. “It’s so pretty.”

"I'm wearing the same piece.” Olivia wiggled her brows as she displayed her chain.

Willa was even more excited about Olivia wearing that same necklace.

"Well, I'll put it on right now.” Olivia helped her put the necklace on once Willa took it out of the box.

Willa took the pendant in her hand and peered at it, “It’s so adorable. Thank you for this lovely gift.”

She held her into her arms. Meanwhile, she saw Vincent a little away from them.

“Oh, you brought him as well,” Willa chimed as she let go of her.

Olivia took a quick look at Vincent across her shoulder and said, “Yes…”

“Let me introduce him to everyone,” Willa stated excitedly.

She turned to her friends and exclaimed, “Hello guys... Look who Olivia has brought here tonight.”

All her friends turned towards her and saw her point to an imposing man just behind them. Not only the girls but also the boys were amazed at the sight of such a handsome man.

Vincent was indifferent. He focused his eyes on the people around them. He was more concerned with Olivia's safety.

Willa excitedly stated, “He is Vincent, Olivia’s…”

“My bodyguard…” Olivia asserted before Willa could complete her sentence.

Willa’s smile disappeared straight away. The excitement on her face was transformed into incredulity. She looked at her frantically. The meaningful smirk on Olivia’s face puzzled her even more.

“Bodyguard…” Some girls shouted in unison as they came up to them.

A blonde with green eyes said, “Such a handsome guy is your bodyguard! I thought he was your boyfriend.”

“Boyfriend!” Olivia chuckled, turning to Vincent. “What do you say, Vincent? Would you like to be my boyfriend?”

This was what she wanted to ask him seriously. In the current situation, her question seemed sarcastic. However, her fingers were crossed as she waited for his response.

“Why do you need a bodyguard here?” Another one asked before Vincent could respond.

“Well, my dad is a bit paranoid after that attack,” Olivia tried to sound as flippant as she could, hiding the restlessness.

“Oh, yeah…”

Everyone got convinced of her after that. But they couldn’t keep their eyes off this good-looking bodyguard.

"Whatever it is... your bodyguard is so hot," remarked the blonde, coquettishly smiling. "If he is single, I'd like to date him."

Olivia glowered at her, clenching her fists. She opened her mouth to warn her to stay away from him, but before that, the blonde approached him and stretched her hand to him.

“Hi, I am Paula. How about a drink with me?”

Vincent gave her a cold stare before directing his focus to Olivia and sternly saying, “I will be there by the door. Find me when you are done.”

He turned around and walked away.

“How rude…” Paula pouted, stomping her feet.

Embarrassed and angry, she pivoted and hurried away. The other girls also went back with her.

Olivia stared at his retreating silhouette that soon vanished into the crowd. She became more agitated than she had ever been. The club was brimming with beautiful ladies. Vincent was so handsome that he could attract anyone's attention.

What if he became interested in someone and decided to spend the night with her?

She was about to follow him when Willa stopped her and asked, "What was that? Why didn’t you tell everyone that he is your hero?”

"Because he doesn't want to be my hero," Olivia sighed and said dejectedly. “Screw him. I came here to have fun. Why should I ruin my mood for him? Let's go get something to drink."

She looped her arm with Willa’s and went to the couch to join with the group.
