Gerald continued to tap his hand as he wiggled harder to break free. Nevertheless, his fight grew weaker and weaker as he was unable to breathe. His vision became fuzzy. His senses were slowly fading.
“Vincent, stop…” Natalia shouted. “Leave him. He will die.”
It was only then that Vincent came to his senses. He looked up at her, only to encounter her misty eyes. Her tears made him distressed. The fear in her blue eyes stung his heart. He wanted to protect her, not to scare her. He immediately let go of him.
Gerald fell to the floor lethargically.
Natalia covered her mouth, looking at his motionless body. Her heart twisted, believing that Gerald was dead.
“D-did you k-kill him?” She stuttered.
“No…” Vincent sprang to his feet and rushed over her. “He just passed out. Don’t be scared, okay?”
