Natalia broke free from his arms and retreated a few steps. She smiled awkwardly and replied, “Yes, I am. When did you come back, Samuel?”
Samuel smiled, “A few days ago.” He bent down to pick up the carry bags and handed them to her.
"Is that your son?" He asked, his gaze moving to Jonathan.
“Yes.” Natalia turned to Jonathan, “Say hi to uncle.”
“Hello, uncle.”
“Hello, buddy.” Samuel squatted in front of him, taking his hands in his, “What is your name?”
“Jonathan.”
“Jonathan, you are a big boy now.” He ruffled his hair.
Samuel rose to his feet and fixed his sight on her. He asked, “How are you?”
“I am fine. How about you?”
“I am also fine.” Samuel smiled, pulling his eyes down to the floor. After a moment of pause, he said, “I am sorry I couldn’t help you back then.”
“It’s okay. I have no complaints.”
“But it’s good to see you okay.” Samuel smiled, staring into her eyes.
“Yeah,” Natalia hung her head down.
