Chapter 57 Rescuing the mother and son

The place was away from the town toward the valley. That was an hour's drive. But Vincent covered the distance in half an hour. Upon arriving there, he saw a dilapidated building surrounded by bushes and thorny shrubs.

Vincent parked the car beside the unconstructed road and jumped out. He hurried to the building, making his way through the bushes and hedges.

Some men rushed towards him with knives in their hands. Vincent knocked them down effortlessly and then entered the house. He saw Jonathan lying on the dusty floor.

“Jonathan…” He squatted beside him and tapped his cheeks. “Hey, buddy. Wake up.”

“Mm…” Jonathan whimpered, wrinkling his brows. It was as if he was trying to open his eyes.

“Wake up,” Vincent kept tapping his cheek.

Meanwhile, he felt a stabbing pain in his back. Vincent froze while his eyes turned hazel immediately. He looked back and saw a man standing just behind him with a knife in his hand. Blood dripped from the tip of the knife.
