Natalia kept staring at him blankly. Did he ask her on a date? That's what she had in mind at that time.


Samuel, on the other hand, was a bit nervous under her unwavering gaze.


“Ahem…” He cleared his throat and rubbed his neck. “It’s a friendly dinner. You know, we met after such a long time and, um... then this kidnapping. I wanted to take you somewhere that would make you feel better. You can bring Olivia with you… and Jonathan, too.”


He added the last sentence after some time.


Natalia laughed at his jitters. She considered rejecting him at first. But after some thought, she decided to accept his invitation. After all, he saved her from those goons.


“Huh…” Samuel chuckled. Joy and surprise intermingled on his face. “Okay, um… yeah. Then I'll come to get you at seven o'clock in the afternoon."


“Hmm…” Natalia nodded, smiling slightly.


Samuel rose from the chair, “I will leave now. See you in the evening.”
