Natalia's gaze was drawn to the wooden chest in the closet as she got ready for work the next morning. She picked it up and opened it. She subsequently took out the necklace and grazed her thumb on the shell pendant. A few scenes from the past flashed in the back of her mind.


Her mother passed away a few months before her seventh birthday due to complications of childbirth. Her father was so broken up that he didn't want to stay at home. He took them to the farmhouse and stayed there for a couple of months.
