The woman took a big album from the shelf and put it on the table. She went through the album to find the photo that Vincent had shown her. Eventually, she found it and showed him.


"This is a group photograph of all the children who were brought in that year. This is Steve with his younger brother, Felix." She pointed at a 7or 8 years old boy standing beside Steve. “A couple from Calgary had adopted Felix later that year. But Steve stayed here till he turned 18.”


After a moment of pause, she added, “I heard that he had gone to Calgary to find Felix.”


Vincent looked at the photograph. Steve had a charming smile on his face, but Felix’s expression was solemn. His green eyes were a shade darker than his brother’s. Vincent asked, “Do you know where he is in Calgary?” He looked up at her.
