Chapter 88 The fireflies

There was a small lake full of lilies. The entire place was illuminated by numerous fireflies. They disappeared only to reappear magically. These tiny glimmers of lights danced over the lilies. It was as if a firework explosion above the lake. Some flew above them, blooming the excitement within Natalia.

She could barely recall the last time she saw the fireflies. Perhaps she had seen when she was a little girl while visiting Adders Field. When she grew up, she didn't have time to hang out.

Natalia felt like she was being transported to fantasy land. She twirled as she tried to catch the fireflies, completely forgetting that she was not a child anymore. She didn’t even bother that someone was watching her keenly all the time.

Samuel looked at her in a trance, shoving his hands in his pockets. At this moment, he forgot about his enmity. He smiled to see her smile. Her smile was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen.
