What could possibly be going on in that room? I waited for what seemed like hours outside the door, leaning against the wall and sitting on the floor with my head in between my knees. Alternately, I would get up and start pacing up and down the corridor, wondering when will I be allowed to go in. Dad and Marvin would come around every so often to check if there was any good news.

“They’ve been in there for hours, Dad. I’m getting worried,” I muttered, creases between my brows.

“No, son,” my dad shook his head. “It’s been only half an hour.”

“Are you sure, Dad? I could’ve have sworn it feels like hours,” I sighed.

“Take it easy, Anakin. I’m sure there’s nothing to worry about.”

I get that my dad was trying to cool me down, but that is my fiancee in there. Ami has never been this way. In the past, even when she was taken ill, she would already be on her way to recovery towards the end of the day.
