Chapter 27

I sit here in total awkwardness as Lorelei struggles to get himself together – his appearance was a mess the moment he walked inside the room and he struggled to find the right words to say.

“Now we’ll di-discuss about the compensation-,” he was interrupted as Mr. Dean leaned forward. I sigh in embarrassment – what he meant was probably royalties.

“Compensation?” Mr. Dean asked as he looked visibly confused – I can sense what he was thinking and I couldn’t even see his eyes properly, that says a lot.

“Oh – I, uh, I meant royalties!” He exclaimed, flustered as he continued to state the conditions in the contract that they may sign.

As I heard from their negotiations – this partnership is going nowhere, claiming 60% for royalties is outrageous when all your company does is transport the product. Not to mention, they do a wacky job at it.
