“Virgo~,” I heard an all-too-familiar whine as I enter the house. I roll my eyes as I was greeted with an oversized puppy with his arms wide open.

“Asher, stop – Lux is here,” I mutter a warning as I push him off.

He looked at me with disappointment in his eyes as we place our purchase on the table, Gillian was still focused on whatever she was doing to even notice us.

I chuckle – this girl has never known how to take a break ever since we started working on this company. Now that we’ve found success with the first product, she’s become even busier.

I slowly approach her, “Gillian,” I called out softly – yet she didn’t even seem to notice me.

I take out the cold coffee she requested and placed it next to her cheek – she flinched aggressively, almost throwing away the laptop she was holding.
