Afterward, the footmen carried the appetizers. But Amira couldn’t enjoy her meal even after the main courses and dessert were served. Her emotions were chaotic. She loved Arya, but she wanted to move slowly. She wanted to be sure first that Arya wouldn’t hurt her nor leave her. So, she was unhappy with the pressure to get married soon.
After lunch, Annie said, “Amira, please come with me. I want to talk with you.”
Amira followed Annie to her private room again. After Amira took a seat, Annie opened the safety box and took a few boxes. Annie brought the big box and gave it to Amira.
“Open it, my dear.”
Amira opened the box and gasped. So much jewelry inside the box, from necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches, hairpins, rings. She lifted her head to see Annie. “Aunty?”
