Chapter 13: The Conversation

"How dare you?!" I yelled.
She really knows how to hit my heated point.
"It's convenient! You'll not pity yourself anymore because you have that child and I don't want a bastard grandson."
I wanted to slap her again or even choke her to death with my own hands but I held back myself.
"Go on! Believe what you want to believe in. But I'll make sure someday you'll be proud of your bastard grandson from me, Madge. Mark my words!"
From there, I left and got back to Dominic's room. Vianna and him were talking alone inside his room. The people there earlier were long gone or maybe just buying food. I peaked and eavesdropped on their conversation but it seemed like no one of them wanted to talk, so I entered.
Vianna straightened her back and moved away as soon as she noticed me. I glared at her.
"Vella, right?" Dominic asked me.
"Yes. Do you want food?" I asked back.
He seems like he just woke up. He shakes his head. "No. I've eaten, Miss Vella."
