"You better leave before Alma finds out," Gayle murmured, turning to Dario. "I’ll keep him safe until you come back with full preparation."
"But Alma will drug him if he stays here," Dario expressed his concern. "He is now unconscious. I can take him along with me."
"What if he regains his consciousness on the way?" Gayle asked. "He will kill you all. Then he will roam around the woods like a mad beast. I can’t take the risk."
Dario's pupils constricted as he considered what Gayle had said. It would be difficult to capture Blaze if he ran rampant in the woods. The council would then send soldiers to hunt him down.
This notion made Dario shudder. He gradually realized the gravity of the situation. Although he was reluctant, he had no option but to leave Blaze here for the time being. First, he had to gather the reinforcements. Then he would come back and expose Alma in front of the pack.
"Alright." He nodded. "Take care of him." He ran out of the hospital.
