The next day, Kayne went to town with Elijah for an important meeting and Cerise stayed home while resting in bed which was the only thing she was strictly told to do by him. She had her breakfast and then showered and changed to a light top with pink shorts before settling back in bed with a book. She wasn’t really fond of books but since Jen had gifted her a book all about pregnancy, she was excited to read it and learn about a few new things.


She was only up to the second page when a knock came from outside their bedroom door and she called out for the person to come in. To her surprise, Jen came into the room with a bowl of fruits and a big smile on her face.


“Jen! I thought you left already?” She waved her hand dismissively at her before placing the bowl of fruits on the nightstand and then sat down next to her on the bed.


“We did, but I wanted to come see you coz I know you will be bored by yourself at home since Kayne is out.”
