The next morning, Kayne and Cerise went to look for his parents to tell them about the good news but they only managed to find his mother sitting alone in the living room.


“Mom, where’s dad?” She looked up and smiled at them.


“Oh, he went out with Elijah to show him around the place. What is it darling? Is there something you would like to tell us?”


Kayne and Cerise shared a glance and they nodded at each other before taking a seat in front Kayne’s mom.


“Yes, we have some great news we would like to tell you.” He grabbed Cerise’s hand and his mother’s eyes quickly snapped to the diamond ring glinting on her finger and she suppressed a loud gasp.


“Cerise and I have decided to get married. The sooner the better anyway.”
