I’m going to kill Xandro.”
Trish DuVal lifted her gaze from her phone and watched her husband pace their bedroom like a caged lion.
Trish said mildly, “It’s hardly Xandro’s fault that Zoe managed to fall in love with some rich creep and get her heart broken in the span of a few months.”
Zachary glared at her, raking his hand through his hair. “He should have told me immediately when he found out.”
Trish raised her eyebrows. “And what, you would have dragged your sister home? I know you think she’s a baby, but she’s an adult, Zach.”
Zachary scowled at her and said nothing.
“Besides,” Trish said. “Xandro couldn’t have possibly known that the guy would get himself killed.”
“He isn’t dead yet,” Zachary said in a tone that suggested he wasn’t entirely happy about it. “Though he might as well be.”
Trish didn’t ask. Knowing how thorough Zachary was, he had likely found out everything there was to know about Martin Milano’s condition.
