(Don't forget, Now thinks Theo as Evan, so still, in dialogues, it's Theo whose name will be mentioned but for Noe, he is Evan Mills, his cousin), Read my other stories too, don't forget to vote and comment.

In Noe's house.

"What?" Noe was so terrified that her legs went weak, "I can't do it!", Although she disliked him, she valued life.

Her father, Leo William, and Hailey had conceived her by accident, even she had been treated like a maid by the William family over the years, she had been trying her best to survive.

Hence, she couldn't understand why 'Evan' was taking this life-and-death situation so lightly, she would never agree to do it.

Theo raised his eyebrows and asked, "Would you prefer to die with me, then?"

He still spoke in a calm tone, but there was a kind of absolute firmness in his voice.

Noe's face was pale, and she had no choice but to grab the things he requested.

She felt that from the moment she married into the Mills family, her life had already crumbled to where it could no longer be repaired, what harm could it do to her now?

She even thought that if 'Evan' really died when she removed the bullet out of him, it would not be a loss for her to die with such a good-looking man.

Noe tried her best to remain calm, but her hands were still shaking uncontrollably.

While peeling off the flesh at the edge of his wound with the blade, she looked out for his condition.

She found that apart from his pale face and sweaty forehead; he showed no other reaction.

Even his eyebrows were only slightly furrowed.

If there was anything special worth mentioning, it was that he had been fixing his eyes on her the whole time.

Even though she could feel that he was very weak now, his gaze was burning with desire.

Noe could not help but say, "Stop staring at me."

In fact,

Theo was not as calm as he appeared to be. His wound hurt so much and he had lost too much blood, making him feel faint.

However, once he looked at Noe, the pain seemed to ease miraculously.

"Don't be nervous. I won't die, I believe in you," Theo assured her with a soft but firm voice.

Noe had never been so trusted and valued by others before gritting her teeth, she focused even more on getting the bullet out.

Noe felt as if a century had passed.

By the time she finally took out the bullet, she was already drenched with sweat.

Washing her hands at the basin next to her, she asked Theo with concern, "How do you feel now?"

Before this, he had thought that 'Evan was a sc*mbag. After removing the bullet for him, she couldn't help but see him in a new light.

Throughout the entire process, he did not cry out in pain, nor did he pass out. She had only ever seen this kind of extraordinary perseverance in movies.

At the same time, she felt that there was an unfathomable mystery about him, which was a little horrifying.

"Grab a pen. I'll list out some medicines." Although Theo's face was ashen, the way he talked was intimidating.

Noe noted down the medicines on a paper and headed out to get some for him.

Keeping her guard up, she finally got all the medicines needed from several pharmacies.

When Theo noticed Noe was carrying a few plastic bags with different pharmacy logos, the corners of his lips curled up slightly.

What a smart and kind woman, he thought.

Also, he could tell that Noe hated him, or rather, she hated 'Evan'.

She probably thought that he was being hunted down by his enemy.

Therefore, she bought them from different shops as she was worried that buying from the same place would raise suspicion.

Noe took out the medicine and knelt in front of him. "I'm going to apply some medicine for you, let me know if it hurts, I'll be gentler."

Theo didn't say a word, just as she was about to get up after she was done, he suddenly held his hand out and grabbed her.

The next moment, he pressed his lips on hers.
