Outside .

Noe came outside after hearing the loud sound.

Theo wore a gloomy face. When Noe spotted the bloody back of his hand, she widened her eyes in shock. "You..."

She put nothing strange on the food. Why would he run out and hurt himself?

Theo ignored her and was about to leave when his cell phone rang.

He threw a glance at his phone. After realising it was an unfamiliar number, he hung up the phone straightaway.

"Let's get in," he said to Noe .

She could hear a note of constraint in his voice. Also, there was a malevolent look in his eyes.

Sensing danger, Noe felt a pang of fear and tiptoed back into the room.

Holding the half-closed door with a hand, she hesitated whether to just lock him outside.

Theo paid no notice of her struggle because his cell phone rang again.

This time, the phone screen was not showing an unfamiliar number, but the name 'Sam Stone'.

Theo answered the phone without hesitation.
