“Are you ok, Tess,” My father asked as he cupped my cheek and look at my face guiltily.


“I am fine, Dad.” I tell him and then hold his hands into mine, “I am good and happy and you don’t need to worry about anything. Andrew takes care of me a lot.” I said with a smile and then look at my husband.


He squeezes out a small smile as assurance when my father looks at him. “I know, he will protect you.” He says and my husband looks tense by his words, the atmosphere between them seems to get depressing and awkward.

“Mom has been waiting for us, Let’s go.” I break the silence as I hold my husband’s arms to pull him inside the house but he stops me abruptly, “Tessy, We need to leave now.”
