Chapter 166 MAYBE?

ANDREW POV:

“So, when did you shift here, to Denver?” Dr. Kavanagh asks, she is writing notes and her gaze is sharp and clear on me every time.

“After the accident, Ann brought me here,” I tell her and the door knocks disturbing us both for a moment.

KNOCK … KNOCK … KNOCK …

The lady’s granddaughter enters with a charming smile and a tray of tea with cookies. I sit up as she looks in my direction while keeping the tray at the table in front of me.

“Tea,” She smiles at me and I give her a polite nod with a half-smile.

“My granddaughter bakes very well. Have a taste.” Dr. Kavanagh says as she gestures toward the cookies and I nod my head.

“Oh, my wife bakes very well too. She is a great cook.” I mention deliberately and the woman gasps in disbelief and I sigh in relief.

Good, now back off, please.

I am having a serious discussion here.

She leaves after my revelation and I am sure she won’t disturb us again.

Taking a sip of tea, I look at Dr. Kavanagh for any more questions.
