He Ruined My Fairytale

"Is everything done?" I peek into the kitchen where Tessa is preparing the cake and she looks at me with a smile that I know isn't for me but it has come from the happiness of her son's birthday.


After 12, it's going to be the 5th of the month, which means our boys are going to turn 4.


"We still have some time, right?" She peeks at the clock and I nod my head in response.


"Yeah, but they are getting grumpy now. They are getting sleepy, I guess." I tell her and her brows twitch in worry.


"I am done baking, I just need to assemble the cake." She explains.


"Can I help?" I offer politely and she nods.


We both start assembling the cake while I am just a helper Tessa is the real chef. This would be the first time we are celebrating both kids' birthdays together in this mansion. I have gone to call Ann over to join us but she seems to be sleeping peacefully in her room and I don't like bothering her sleep.


Maybe, tomorrow she could celebrate with us in the evening.
