Chapter 9 The Misunderstanding

Carson was doing his work on his laptop in his room when he heard a knock on the door. It was his mother. He asked her to come in. Hera came to talk to him about the engagement between Carson and Amanda. Carson kept his laptop aside and looked at his mother. “There’s something I need to talk to you about, son.”

Hera wanted the two of them to get married soon. She wanted Amanda to be her daughter-in-law because of her identity as the mayor’s daughter. It would only benefit both the families and there would be no place for Elissa. “Carson, it's been months since the statement of the two of you getting engaged soon. When are you officially declaring her as your fiancée?”
