Chapter 36 His side of Truth

Having left with no other choice, Elissa signed the document and went with Carson to the new house she would live in. She hasn't thought of a proper excuse to tell her daughter and brother about this. There was no way she was going to mention anything about Carson to them.

“How long do I need to stay here?” she asked, turning her attention from the road to Carson.

Carson, without removing his glasses or turning his head, said, “For as long as I please.” There was a high mocking tone in that. Elissa tried to understand what he was doing. Nothing made sense.

“I don't know why you are doing this. It's not like we have slept for the first time” she muttered, looking down at her knotted fingers in her lap.

Carson heard her and with a smirk, he replied, “Oh, but this is the first time someone took advantage of me. I can't let this slide that easily. ”
