Chapter 16: An Advice

***

Last week, when they went to the music room, Dillon didn’t report it to the alpha, but Archer happened to walk by. He remembered how the afternoon sun cast a golden glow around her and how her hair almost looked like fire in the sun.

Since that day, Archer would sometimes hear Sariah singing in the Queen’s room.

She probably thought no one was listening.

But the alpha blood in him gave him very sharp senses, so he could. He would sit there and listen to what she said. He couldn’t let himself go in this direction. The more her voice moved him, the more difficult it was for him to stay in control.

Dillon was in charge of her, so he had to stop her.

Archer wants her to stop singing... Even if she was the only one who could make him feel better. He didn’t need another thing to take his mind off of.

War was coming, and the longer they waited, the more their enemies’ forces grew, putting them in more danger.

“Dillon,” he said through the mind link.
