Chapter 90

CHAPTER 90

ABBY’S POV

I sat on the couch of Mr. Hughes's living area awkwardly, fidgeting with my hands, he was also sitting right in front of me, just staring at his fireplace. It had been a good five minutes since Raphael had taken my bitch of a step-sister to drop her off at home, I would not be surprised if they start doing the deed in the backseat of their car, judging by how desperate she was today. I looked at the unmoving figure of Jay Hughes, what an arrogant, filthy rich man. I sighed, if he did not want to talk to me then why did he even ask me to stay behind? Of course, so that his grandson could spend some alone time with the girl he thinks is perfect to be a part of their family. Playing matchmaker at such an age, I scoffed. But embarrassingly, I scoffed out loud, which made Jay Hughes’s head snap in my direction with a questioning gaze, his eyebrows raised at me.
