NAOMI’S POV
People used to think that being a rogue meant being free of pack responsibilities and duties. But it is the half-truth. Being a rogue seemed free only at the surface; in reality, it was anything but. Once again, I had no sense of direction.
I drove around aimlessly, looking for a suitable place to halt for the night; I knew that I could find a human town if I went in the west direction.
But in this weather, I had no idea where I was heading.
Soon, an inn that had a neon sign outside saying ‘Cozy peak’ came into view. It was relatively out of public sight and was quite remote. I noticed the structure of the building, the hotel, with its Cotswold stone face covered with trailing ivy, looking as if it belonged lost in the countryside. It really looks cozy but also abandoned, just like me.
