He wiped the sweat from his face, and I offered him another glass of water.
“I am sorry, officer, but I can’t let anyone snatch away my happiness, I hope you understand,” I said, while crossing my arms and leaning back in the comfort of my chair.
“You are right; I was not informed about this whole thing.” He answered, looking down, ashamed of what just happened.
“But, you should have done some research before coming here. Now, I would like to know what are you going to mention in your report?” I asked, and Mal showed me her victorious smirk, and I winked at her.
“I am going to mention the truth in the report, mam. I apologize for the inconvenience, but I was just doing my job, please spare me. I have a family. I was ordered to do this.” He picked up his phone from my table and stood up.
“I understand, officer and don't worry I don't have anything against you. Thank you.” I also stood up and offered my hand for him to shake.
