Chapter 10

Nicole just looked at Andrew. How she wished that she could tell him that he could just let her stay by his side if he wanted to. She would prefer doing that than for her to hear him repeatedly saying that she had owed him something.

So, conceited. She never met a man like him before. Earlier, in front of his mother and his grandmother, he looked like an innocent boy that would do whatever that could make the two women happy but now that there was just the two of them, he was starting to get on her nerves.

Nicole hated the way that he spoke to her. He spoke as if she owed him her life.

“Yes,” she said in a firm tone, and she couldn’t help but raise one of her eyebrows. “You don’t really have to repeat yourself every now and then. I know that I owe you for saving me earlier and you have my word. I am keeping my promise. Just tell me what you want me to do,” she exclaimed.

“Well and good. I just wanted to make things clear,” Andrew uttered in a sarcastic tone.
